Ans. In the sentences where subject performs an action is called active sentences and the sentences in which subject recieves an action is known as passive sentences.

5. Explain the types of sentences.

Ans. There are four types of sentences:

  1. Declarative Sentences: The sentence that provides information or states a fact is known as declarative sentences. These types of sentences always ends with a ‘full-stop’.
  2. Interrogative Sentences: It is used to ask a question and always ends with a question mark.
  3. Exclamatory Sentence: It is used to express a strong emotion and always ends with an exclamation mark.
  4. Imperactive Sentence: It is used to shows an order, command or request or advice and it can ends with full stop or excalmation mark.

6. What do you mean by a paragraph?

Ans. A group of sentences forms a paragraph. It can have a common idea or theme. Sometimes paragraph contains different points and represents common information about the subject on which it is written.
